Prof. Tim Coats - Leicester Diagnostics Project

Tim Coats, Professor of Emergency Medicine at Leicester University, UK. Prof Coates is Co-Director of the Diagnostics Development Unit, an interdisciplinary unit working on a clinical studies to integrate a number of advanced diagnostic methods including mass spectrometry, thermal imaging and ultrasound blood flow measurement. Using expertise from chemical and space research scientists to compliment medical practice it is hoped that a rapid, portable and non-invasive diagnostic instrument will be developed to detect disease.
