Prof Brian Derby with 'Skin-Jet' nozzle
Professor Brian Derby of the Materials Science faculty at the University of Manchester holds nozzles which he has developed to use in an inkjet printer to print skin cells. This bio-printing technique is part of a research interest to use inkjet technologies as a manufacturing tool which may one day be applied to print other human tissue as a medical resource.
