Biogas production plant
Part of a water treatment plant which also produces biomethane which can be used as a commercial fuel for vehicular use, including trains. In this case the biogas is added to a town's domestic grid after cleaning and adjusting the calorific value by the addition of propane.
The prominent visual element in the biogas production process is the pressurised water scrubbing tower, shown here, which removes carbon dioxide, siloxanes and hydrogen sulphide from the raw biogas.
