Cosmetic preparation for the victim of a simulated air crash
Actor is made up with a simulated depressed fracture of the skull before the start of Exercise Millennium, which tested the emergency services of Manchester, UK, with a simulated air crash. Volunteers work with members of Casualties Union, a UK-based charity organisation which provides make-up artists and actors for the training of medical, emergency and rescue personnel to apply make-up to simulate, with high medical accuracy, injuries received in a plane crash. The incident, which tested emergency services in the vicinity of Manchester Airport, UK, took place in 1995 as Exercise Millennium.
