Cosmetic preparation for the victim of a simulated air crash
An actor has spray make-up applied to his face to produce an effect of serious trauma as he is to be found unconcious in the simulated crashed airplane. (see image aircrash-simulation-5). Volunteers work with members of Casualties Union, a UK-based charity organisation which provides make-up artists and actors for the training of medical, emergency and rescue personnel to apply make-up to simulate, with high medical accuracy, injuries received in a plane crash. The incident, which tested emergency services in the vicinity of Manchester Airport, UK, took place in 1995 as Exercise Millennium.
