Air crash simulation - Helicopter rescue
As part of an emergency services training exercise the scenario of a plane crash at Manchester Airport was arranged. The exercise used volunteers as 'casualties' and these were briefed as to the supposed symptoms they suffered in the crash and they were cosmetically made up to simulate the injuries sustained. PICTURE SHOWS: Paramedics and technicians stretcher a simulated injured passenger to a waiting helicopter provided for the exercise by the Royal Air Force Rescue unit.
