HYperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO)
EDITORIAL USE ONLY. Patient undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy is loaded into a pressurised one-man chamber, where he will be treated for over two hours with pure oxygen at twice atmospheric pressure. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is the medical use of oxygen at pressure higher than normal atmospheric pressure and is used to treat wounds and ulceration, as well as carbon monoxide poisoning and decompression sickness.
