Electron Beam Tomography scanner
Middle-aged man being prepared for scanning by an EBT (electron beam tomography) scanner. Electron Beam computerised tomography sweeps the beam of X-ray photons electronically, rather than mechanically as in conventional CT scans, which results in faster scans carrying more detailed information with less radiation risk to staff and patients.
