Neurosurgeon operates on brain tumour
EDITORIAL USE ONLY: Neurosurgeon Henry Marsh performs microsurgery for brain tumour removal, whilst the woman patient is awake and communicating with another doctor, who is getting her to respond to pictures . The surgeon thus has established a feedback mechanism to guide his removal of brain tissue, which is done using the ultrasonic aspirator in his left hand. His work has been pre-planned using the MRI scans on view to the surgeon.
