Synthetic Bone Research
Dr Jan Czernuszka of Oxford University examines sheets of collagen he uses in his research into the development of a synthetic form of bone. The synthetic bone is made from collagen, calcium phosphate (a component of real bone) and an amino acid catalyst, so that rejection by the body should not be an issue and would be resistant to stress.
