Breast cancer cells
Fluorescent microscope image of breast cancer cells being investigated by researchers at the Welsh School of Pharmacy at Cardiff University to develop methods of targeting diseased cells with appropriate drugs. This image shows the cell nuclei as as blue structures within the red actin cytoskeleton. Green spots are early endosomes which it is hoped will play a part in enabling the therapeutic macromolecules to accurately target diseased cells using nano-scale delivery technology.
