Tissue perfusion as a drug testing method
Specimens of human colon tissue are suspended so that the tissue surface can be constantly washed by a solution containg a drug under investigation whilst electronic equipment measures effects. The work is being carried out for a pharmaceutical company. This method of data collection reduces the number of tests which need to be carried out using live animal tisssue.
